Circulation in a room

It has been really really hot in my room. esp when it is facing the west – the late afternoon sun heats up the room and the heat just refuses to dissipate during the evening.

so i’ve been thinking how to solve this problem for a while.

the aircon definitely works – however, firstly it is expensive. secondly it is non-environmentally friendly. lastly i dun fancy staying under a/c for the whole day – it is much better to circulate the natural air with moisture.

so i thought.

1) to get the hot air out, i need the fan to blow the air out of a window. This fan needs to be of a suitable height since hot air rises.

2) a need a low fan with good circulation power to blow the cooler air up.

so the picture goes like this:

the red blobs are fans.

the blue shows the airflow.

and it’s a complete gem!!! my room feels like it’s a freaking wind fest.

MPF1435U Orbital Air Circulator

this stuff from Mistral is fantastic as well.

Mistral mpf 1435U orbital fan

firstly the head of the blade rotates in a circular motion – while the blades spin in the usual manner.

suppoosedly circulates 40% better – and i definitely feel the difference.

118 SGD for the small fan and 120 SGD for the big.

240 SGD and we have a wonderful air circulator.

Cool!
