so 2 days of 42km cycling continuous – decided to just take it easy – 2h 20min per trip – doesn’t feel that easy though – the back is back aching as well as the sitting.
just came back from a 10km in the usual 1h07min – throat was sore and knee was still kinda sore from the wound that has yet to heel completely.
all in all- i’m glad to be back doing it all – the lack of fitness is trying – back to square one i feel and i really miss the swims…
well…better than doing nothing i guess.

so took 3 days to recover from the 25km run. was quite sad to read that a 55km man died of a heart attack after a 5km run.
apparently held up by the traffic – god this traffic situation is really getting out of control.
i personally had an incident before where an ambulance was ard 5 cars behind me and i simply could not filter into the neighbouring lane. vehicles simply dun give a damn and noone wanted to give way. it is sad how humanity has degenerated with wealth. i fear for the future generations…
anyway 10km at ECP. 1h 07min, so was much better than the 1:10 i expected. but definitely found it not as relaxed…looks like a long way back to gain back the fitness i had built up…

Found the Wander Wash coin operated laundromat.
it’s really good! good bye Systematic laundromat and the crazy queues!!!
only bad thing is that i dun get to eat KFC while waiting for the laundry, and that there’s no a/c.
but it’s open 24hrs so i think next time i go should be at night. it’s really nice
Yishun Ave 11, blk 318.

25km in 3h42min. so 8.9min/km. totally disgusting.
it was 6:30 min/km for the first 6km, and then it just degenerated from there as i conked out. i hit the wall at 20km (2h50min) and in short walked the last 5km unable to run >500m.
puked as i reached my car – i was really stuffed with fluids – i had clearly overhydrated perhaps cos i wasn’t sweating that much due to all the walking. lil nap later, a coke down and i am feeling much better now. phew.
the 3 weeks of inactivity after the fall clearly affected my stamina and the wounds were really itchy during the run. i should have done the first 15km effortlessly and i think i paid the price for the injury.
nonetheless, longest ever run i have done in my life and i am glad (now! certainly not a few hrs before) to have done it. but seriously, if the 25km hurt so much, i cannot imagine the marathon, much less the ironman….hats off to these people seriously.
saw a man with a prosthetic and i feel really touched seeing all the people offering their wellwishes. people are good, some of them.

and oh yes. i finally closed out all the accounts with the fucking HSBC. no more idiotic phone banking which directs me all over the place. it was just 20k which is just spare change, but i am glad to see the last of this stupid banking account.
so what is wrong?
1) call centers seems to be all filipinos. i have nothing agst them but at least base them in SG right….having someone in another country listen to the problems is a pain in the ass and the line connections are just awful.
2) why is there no freaking option to speak to the operator??? i only managed to speak to one out of luck cos i simply ran out of buttons to press during the automated directing system. it’s pure unprofessional.
3) the freaking internet reset+password reset is just a joke. i dun ever want to go thru that again knowing that i simply have no confidence in them to bank seriously, and thus i have to go thru all these resetting again one fine day.
enough is enough.
and just for the sake of it, was down at the branch in jurong withdrawing the $ and the queue was obscene with a clearly understaffed counter. complains were rife and again it was abt the poor phone banking service.
all in all.
good riddance HSBC.

went on a shopping spree today – it was nice getting some fresh air after being cooped up at home nursing the wounds. Nicely scabbed up and no longer dripping serum so it was delightful. also nice was the weather – slight drizzle definitely brought some relief from the 35deg weather.
bot the TT (nice pretty lady – Lyvia at Peninsular shopping center – very sweet looking) , 5 g2000 shirts (16.5//34.5), brentwood pants (32 waist), rockport shoes ( size 9 – using a 50 dollar voucher gotten during one of the runs), and it was the robinson’s sale! so it was nice nice nice.
